This Week! Lean In and SIgn Up: Youth Truth, Costume Parade, Candy, Trunk or Treat~

We have exciting events this week. Youth Truth, Trunk or Treat, Candy Donations: 

• Parent and Family Youth Truth: We are really close to earning the kids a party! Please take the Youth Truth survey. Your voice helps improve our school. Kids will win a party at school. You will be entered into a raffle! Congratulations to Maria Ruela AND to our new winner Lidia Bocanegra! We have a Trader Joe's gift card for you in the front office! Next raffle is Friday, so take the survey now! Thank you families who have already taken it. Take the Youth Truth Survey! 
• Costume Parade: Join us Friday at 8:15 am for our Character Costume Parade! Parents can sign in at the gate on Plumas to access the upper field. We will have sign in tables and then come in to enjoy our fun costumes!
• Trunk or Treat: After School, Upper Field at 2:30: Bring your students or even better sign up to be a car with a trunk full of candy for our students to visit! Sign up on the attached form or reach out to Ms Gwynne to sign up: gcropsey@mpusd.net or 8313129452. Trunk or Treat cars can drive onto the upper field from Plumas from 1:30-2:00. Set up until 2:30 and we will end by 3:30. Drivers, if you need candy to hand out please let the front office know!
• Candy! Even if you cannot make it Friday, you can support Trunk or Treat by bringing candy! Please bring candy to the front office before 2:30 Friday and thank you!

Tomorrow is the big day! Some last minute details:

COSTUMES: costumes can be worn, and students wearing costumes should be all dressed in their costume before 7:55 so they are not late to class, please plan to arrive early if your student needs costume help. As usual every year please no blood, weapons or masks/face paint that hide who the student is. As a school with students as young as 4 we ask that it not be too scary! Also if your costume is an inflatable, it may be worn for the parade and Trunk or Treat but not in class so please plan accordingly. Students planning to go to Trunk or Treat please bring a bag for getting candy!

Parents join us!

PARADE: 8:15, No need to sign in at the office! Please come to the upper field gate on Plumas Avenue (near the portables) to sign in, get a sticker and the parade starts at 8:15 on our upper playground.

TRUNK OR TREAT: Cars enter from the gate on Plumas Avenue to the upper field 1:30-2:00. We set up 2:00-2:30 and kids come at 2:30. We will end by 3:30 at the latest, or earlier if we run out of candy. Remember about 400 kids come through so we recommend staggering what you give! The office collected candy we will hand out to cars if you run out.
